Omninput is made by Ontiqo Pty Ltd, an Australian company.

What Omninput sends, and where

Omninput works between the computers on your local network. It sends keyboard and mouse input, clipboard text, sound, the files in the folders you choose to sync, computer names and SSH public keys directly between your own computers. None of this is sent to Ontiqo or anyone else.

What goes over the internet

Omninput checks your licence with the Microsoft Store. When another computer on your network asks for the macOS or Linux version, the Windows copy downloads that installer from omninput.app once and keeps it. Omninput has no account, no analytics, no advertising and no crash reporting.

What stays on each computer

Settings, the list of computers you trust, licence details and the state of synced folders are kept on each computer, in Omninput's own settings folder. Files replaced or deleted by folder sync are kept for 30 days in a recovered-files folder on that computer, then removed. Uninstalling Omninput removes its settings; SSH keys it added to your SSH folder stay until you remove them.

This website

This website is hosted by Cloudflare, which keeps ordinary web server logs for the pages and downloads it serves.

The Microsoft Store

If you install Omninput from the Microsoft Store, Microsoft handles the download, updates and purchases under Microsoft's own privacy statement. We see only aggregate counts in the Store dashboard, never anything that identifies you.
